Pleasure, for me, is almost entirely dependent on circumstance. I don't like chocolate when I'm hot, I don't like lager when I'm cold, but there is one single thing that is always pleasurable. The Cadbury Creme Egg.
So anyway, I was
fossicking through my great-great-great-grandfather's old suitcase, meandering through the park this morning, counting squirrels and lyricising about long division, when I noticed a little beaver indulging himself.
You'd think he would have worn a bib, or strapped a leaf around his torso, or used a straw, but one thing is certain, he was experiencing pleasure at an extremely high level. There's something slightly guilty about his expression, it's almost as if he thought he could get away with it.
